BA Equestrian Competition Yard

Barbara Ainsworth and Martin Horn own and run BA Equestrian, a competition training yard based at Longhorn Stables near Preston in Lancashire.

They have built the yard up over the last eight years, and offer a friendly but professional service with excellent facilities and a wide variety of services, including:-

• Breaking and schooling young horses
• Individual tuition
• Training courses
• Full livery
• Hunting available with the Vale of Lune Harriers and Cheshire Farmers Drag Hunt
• Holiday livery

All staff at BA Equestrian are very caring and training for BHS or NVQ exams.

Farrier visits fortnightly and regular veterinary checks.

Barbara has been riding for nearly forty years, having trained with Karen Dixon and Elaine Straker, she has evented up to Advanced level.

Since opening the yard in 2001 Barbara's main focus has been breaking and schooling young horses, who have gone on to private homes and to compete in Pony Club, British Dressage and British Eventing competitions.

We are very grateful to Lancashire Rural Futures for their help and support in the development of the yard and facilities at Longhorn Stables enabling us to establish BA Equestrian.
